Bøttejuvet mountain

The mountain formation of Bøttejuvet (1322m.a.s.l.) offers a spectacular view in all directions towards the mountain range of Hurrungane and the mountains of Stølsnostind, Falketind and Hjelledalstind. The top of Bøttejuvet also offers a bird’s eye view of Øvre (upper) Årdal. For generations local legends have claimed that Bøttejuvet will crash into the Årdalsvatnet Lake. The hike to Bøttejuv takes approximately 3 hours and the return journey takes an hour.
