The Tindevegen road
Tindevegen is a mountain road only open during the summer, which goes along the mountain tops of Jotunheimen between Årdal and Turtagrø. The road goes above 1300m.a.s.l. and is 32km long (just less than 20 miles). The Tindevegen road is also referred to as the “Roof of Norway” and the “Shortcut through Jotunheimen”. The road is the shortest alternative route between Bergen and Trondheim that doesn’t involve a ferry, and is an attraction in itself. The road offers stunning nature and several beautiful viewpoints.
